Entrance Hymn - Think of a world without any flowers

INFANTS - Hymn - If I were a Butterfly by B. Howard (Celebration Hymnal for Everyone number 298)

PRIEST - First Prayer
God our Father, we praise and thank you for your wonderful gifts. We thank you, especially at this time of year, for your gifts of fruit, vegetables and wheat. We make this prayer through Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

YEAR 3 - First Reading
Here Paul is urging us to share what we have together, especially with those who are in need.
Dear Friends
What God wants is that we share what we have together. If we've got more than we really need now and others are in need, we must help them; but we shall share what he has given us - and share alike.
This is the Word of the Lord.

YEAR 2 - Choral Poem - Farmer, is the harvest ready? by H. Wilkinson (in the Oxford Reading Tree scheme, read in two groups - for questions and answers)

Hymn for Gospel Acclamation - Alleluia by D. Fishel (Celebration Hymnal for Everyone number 32)

Gospel Reading Acted out by YEAR 6 - Mark 4:26-29

YEAR 5 - Prayers of the Faithful - Children compose their own prayers.

Offertory Hymn - Water of Life - 2 verses then Offertory Procession

YEAR 4 - Offertory Procession
1. We bring the bread.
Jesus said, "I am the bread of life.
He who comes to me will never be hungry.
He who believes in me will never be thirsty."

2. We bring the wine.
Jesus said, "I am the vine. You are the branches.
If your friendship with me is a real friendship, it will bear a great harvest."

3. We bring the water.
David said about God, "You soften the soil with showers and cause the young plants to grow.
What a rich harvest your goodness provides!"

4. We bring a harvest gift.
"We must help the weak," Paul said, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, 'There is more happiness in giving than in receiving."

Offertory Hymn - Water of Life - Final 2 verses

PRIEST - Second Prayer
God out Father, with the gifts of bread and wine, we give you these gifts of the harvest, and all that we are. Unite us all with Jesus and his love. We ask this through Jesus, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Communion Hymn - When I needed a Neighbour by S. Carter (Celebration Hymnal for Everyone number 800, verses 1, 2, 4 and 6)

PRIEST - Third Prayer
God our Father, with the gifts of bread and wine, we give you these gifts of the harvest and all that we are. Unite us all with Jesus and his love. We ask this through Jesus, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

PRIEST - Final Blessing
Go in peace, to love God and to share his good gifts.

Final Hymn - Autumn Days by E. White (Celebration Hymnal for Everyone number 61)
