chairs brought to the Assembly hall for assembly, and it would be
helpful if you could get the screen down for me, and I’d like to have
the piano moved to nearer the front, please …
Okay, that seems all right.
I’d also like the cupboard door unlocked and I need the flipchart set
up with a pad on it and could you please help Mr Gent bring his class
down to assembly.

Perhaps it gives us a picture of how we pray sometimes. I
think everyone prays at some stage, but usually only when they need
However, we need to remember that God is our Father, and
wants us to do more than just ask him for help when we have a problem.
Adoration – telling
God how great and wonderful he is.
Confession – saying
‘Sorry’ for the things we have done wrong.
Thanks – for all that
God has already done for us.
Supplication – asking
for the things we (and other people) need.
